I enjoyed this book very much... I was reluctant to read it because I didn't want the story to be over, but in the end I couldn't help myself.
In truth the book is less thant perfect, I know... I'm not going to write about what was wrong in it because WE ALL KNOW IT (lame sex, lame love story...) but who cares!
What I really care about is that Sookie got closure, I got closure, and once more I got to enjoy the life story of a brave, smart, loving, and good woman...
In this book once again Charlaine delivers the best heroin ever... many books and series have great plots, good characters, decent narrative and blah blah blah... Yeah, I know, I've read them... but there's no one like Sookie...
In this series Charlaine gave us plenty of adventure, crazy plots (some good, some bad), great characters to love and care for, she gave us ERIC NORTHMAN!!! ... but I think the real gift was the role model Sookie can be to every woman.
To me she tought me to be brave, no matter what, even if I'm scared to death, to know WHO I am no matter what other people think or believe of me, to fully ENJOY every single beautiful little thing in life, to find happyness in each one, to be and to live alone, to appreciate man, and to love freely without feer of getting hurt, and to know that no matter what happen, I will survive and move on...
This book is more of that in the best way possible, another big chunk of Sookie, the last piece of a sweet pie... It wasn't perfect... but it was perfect for me, for my heart...
I will love you forever Sookie! you will always be in my heart as a my dear friend and role model... I'll miss you deeply, but I know I can re-read every adventure of yours a million times (book 4!!! *____*), it's not the same as sharing a new one with you, but I guess it'll have to do.
As I read in another review, I wouldn't recomend this book because is not that good, but if you've read all 12! finish it! ... And if you have never read a Sookie book, but you like female heroines, good humor, (great) sex, amayzing men (Eric! *___*) I'm sure you'll enjoy the series, with all the good and bad in it...
